I’m Kirri – life coach, writer, speaker and holistic wellness advocate.
And, I’m stoked that you have found your way here!
I’m a blend of science and soul, playfully bridging the worlds of psychology and transformative coaching, and I believe…that wholehearted living begins the moment a woman decides to become her own best friend.
What does that mean?
Learning to choose yourself. Taking care of yourself. Deciding to have your own back. Nourishing your body and your emotional wellbeing. Maintaining healthy boundaries. Trusting in your decisions. Intuiting, understanding and responding to your evolving needs and desires.
Think Radical Self-Responsibility mixed with Compassion, Curiosity and deep-seated Self-Acceptance. Feels good, right?
I support women who are truly ready, to become conscious caretakers of their own lives and businesses, so that we can all experience a lush, well-crafted life, filled with more of the things we love.
And I say ‘We’ purposefully, because being your own best friend is having a friendship with your own heart and that’s something that each and every one of us needs, in order to live the lives we dream of.
Genuine kindness and sustainable love begins at home, but there is always a ripple effect.
I also believe…
- in the middle path. The Yin and the Yang. Honouring the feminine AND the masculine.
- that swirling inspiration and intuitive intelligence absolutely thrives alongside structure and direction.
- that when we become fluent in our emotions, and a curious observer of our own thoughts, we have the ability to shift our reality, in an instant.
- that the small moments in life are actually the big moments and that finding joy in the ordinary, keeps us steeped in the sublime truth of what really matters.
What brings me here?
I spent my entire childhood and early twenties, effectively ‘knowing’ myself through the eyes of others, consistently looking to the external world for validation. Relying heavily on what I was told and basing my self-worth on the accumulation of gold stars, positive feedback and the avoidance of interpersonal conflict.
Things began to change in my final year as a Psychology Graduate, when I was working on my Masters Thesis. As I was going through all of the data and research, I began to look at my own issues with the same level of curiosity.
I began exploring the emotions that I had been stuffing down for years and started viewing my eating disorders, perfectionism, approval addiction, and depression, as opportunities to understand and reconnect with my true self.
Soon after, I discovered life coaching with Results Coaching in Sydney and despite being seriously distracted by my French-Canadian love and the sudden succession of three baby girls (best surprises that have ever come my way!) – I’ve never looked back.
I’m passionately committed to a life of supporting other brave women to choose themselves.
Through working with hundreds of women to date, I have gratefully observed that our so-called weaknesses do not need to be cured, but explored with curiosity and cradled with self-acceptance.
There is much to be said for being your own best friend and coming to your own rescue. Even when you have effectively abandoned yourself and feel unable to access your own personal ally…Look within and trust, because – She has never left your side.
